Jack was meeting some friends at the park to play "Nerf Wars" and decided to make some M&M cookies for everyone. I bought the M&M's and he did the rest.
I thought M&M cookies used the same recipe as chocolate chip cookies, but this one has slightly different proportions of the ingredients. It produced a chewy, slightly salty dough that was a great compliment to the sweet candies.
Delicious!
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 t vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/4 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 3/4 cup M&Ms
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla.
Sift flour, salt and soda. Slowly add to butter mixture. Stir in M&Ms. Chill for at least an hour.
Drop dough onto lightly greased pan. (We used parchment paper.)
Bake for 8-10 for chewy cookies or 12-14 minutes for crisp cookies.
