Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

I have seen this recipe from Paula Deen and also Family Circle magazine. I made it for a teacher's lunch at Grace's school. It is delicious and very easy!

Crust:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 large egg
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Filling:
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese at room temp
2 large eggs
1 t vanilla
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 box (16 oz) powdered sugar, plus more for dusting

1. Heat oven to 350. Spray 13 x 9 x2 pan with Pam.

2. Crust: Combine cake mix, egg and melted butter. Mix well until moistened. Pat lightly into prepared pan, covering bottom and sides.

3. Filling: In another bowl, beat cream cheese til smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until well combined. Beat in melted butter. On low speed, gradually add powdered sugar. Beat til smooth.

4. Spread cream cheese mixture over crust in pan. Bake 40-50 minutes til sides are set is center is still jiggly. Remove from oven and cool. Dust with powdered sugar and cut into 20 squares.
