Crockpot Roast

Quick and Easy Crockpot Roast

I found this recipe on Lynn's Kitchen Adventure. It was so easy. I bought the chuck roast while it was on sale for $1.49/lb. I bought a large roast and cut it in half, freezing the other half for another crock pot meal later. The best part was that the ingredients are things I usually have on hand. I served with mashed potatos and mixed vegetables.

1 onion, chopped1 package of dry onion soup mix
1 cup bottled chili sauce
12 ounces of beer

4 to 5 lbs of roast, chuck, brisket, whatever cut you choose

Place the roast in crockpot. Place onions on top. In a small bowl combine onion soup mix, chili sauce, and beer. Pour mixture over roast. Cook on low in crockpot for 7-8 hours or until done.
