Pineapple Teriyaki Chicken

This recipe for a marinade was definitely my favorite this week.  It was a big hit!  It is originally from Sheaffer at Pinterest Told Me To, and I found it on the Mix and Match Mama blog.

I marinated chicken breasts in this for over 24 hours.  Then we grilled on a charcoal grill.  The chicken was so moist and flavorful!  I think this would also be a delicious way to marinate pork tenderloin.

The ingredients couldn't be simpler.


  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sherry (I omitted this)
  • 1 6-oz can of pineapple juice
  • 1/8 cup red wine vinegar
  • 3 T sugar
  • 1/4 t garlic powder
Put it all in a bag with the meat.  Marinate, turning periodically.  Grill!

I topped the chicken with green onions and pineapple like Mix and Match Mama did...delicious!
